Scenes Along the Nile

Most relaxing way to explore the Nile River is by riverboat

Gliding past typical villages from Luxor to Aswan in lower Egypt

Pristine farmlands, tranquil waters, palms can be viewed from our riverboat

Scene from centuries ago - truly one of great cradles of world civilization

Both modern and ancient housing along banks of 4,132 mile-river

Although many homes do not have roofs, they do have satellite dishes!

Stucco homes are predominent - Nile River flows south to north

Huts along the bank for the farmers and livestock

Saw many different kinds of livestock

Two rivers make up the Nile:  White Nile and Blue Nile

More of the housing along the banks of river that goes through 7 countries

We saw many oxen in water - note the farmers on the banks

Another Biblical-like scene

Other livestock along the banks - note the dessert

Major cities on edge of Nile include Cairo, Gondokoro, Luxor, Aswan

More of the typical housing....

Children in river are always boys - never the girls!

Passengers on our riverboat enjoyed the hot-air balloon rides one morning

Randall and Norris are in one of these balloons at 6 am!

Lovely morning for a hot-air balloon ride - great scenery over Luxor
