M/S River Anuket

Grand Circle's privately-owned riverboat was home for a 7-night cruise

Nile River is longest in world - over 4K miles in length, over 1M sq-mi basin

Upper deck was HOT but wonderful views of shoreline docked in Luxor

Anuket's comfortable, roomy lounge on the 138-passenger riverboat

Machine gun artillery set up at stern of our riverboat - just in case!

We were well protected....

Room stewards had fun with towel creations each day - cute octopus

"I love you" heart - largest cabin on a ship we've ever had

Serenaded one early morning hours by vendor with an oud

Don relaxes while cruising along, overlooking sand hills of Sahara Desert

The vendors even came to our ship in their small boats to sell galabiyyas

Very aggressive - trying to climb on board to see their wares

Norris takes a photo of the firestation from the upper deck

Souvenir shop across from our docking, with horse and carriage

Local transportation!

Refrigeration room where meats and seafoods are stores on the M/S Anuket

One of the chefs guide us through the sparkling clean kitchen

Pastry room where breads and decedent desserts are baked

Whirling dervish putting on a spectacular performance

Colorful costume - very entertaining

Display of towel creations by the room stewards - crocodile??

There's our monkey - the towel creation, not  Don!

One of the friendly, handsome wait staff

Our favorite waiter, Mohammad
